A DVD dedicated to fly fishing for pike by Danish Niels Vestergaard

I used to do a lot of float tubing in the ocean. A friend who worked in local tackle shop convinced me to try one, and ended up almost giving it to me, so suddenly I had a float tube in the garage. Tubing for sea trout didn't make much sense to me, not least because most fish were caught very close to the shore and could easily be reached wading.

I am not one much for buying a lot of flyfishing accessories, so when the HSI Float-n-Tote rod holder arrived at my front doorstep to review, I was sceptically intriqued. I have never had much use for a float tube rod holder since most of my float tube fishing is done in litle ponds and near shore on lakes. However, the perfect trip was coming up to test out the rod holder system.

The tube fly - or tube fly system - you can see on this page, is called the Banderillas. The name comes from the Spanish name for the sticks the the bullfigther uses during the fight. The body sections of this fly has some resemblance to these sticks.

The Float Tube Regatta 96 was a meeting between Danish float tubers arranged by my fly tying and fishing guild The Bananaflies.

This time it's float tubing. It's a basic book, that treats the subject from the bottom: considerations before buying, selecting a tube and other equipment, getting 'on board', strategies and much more. On top of that comes a more general section on trout food and flies.
